Procrastination is a beautiful thing. I was about to shutdown my computer, but I thought I’d leave my last California blog entry first.
The movers arrive tomorrow (actually this) morning sometime between 8 and 9. I need to call them at 7:30 so they know what packing stuff I need. I hopefully won’t need all that much, but it still remains to be seen, and its already after midnight. Its gonna be a late night
sigh
Fantastically, we have sold our house! The counter offer we made yesterday was accepted very quickly, and we have now accepted it as well. So, in 21 days we will have our money! So, that is very cool. I’ve sold a car and a house, both in about a weeks time, and only after advertising for about a week. Amazing! And definitely kickass!
After the movers arrive tomorrow, I’m not sure what I’ll do. Their early arrival frees up the rest of the day to do a whole lot of nothing!! I’d like to return my rental car so that I can hopefully save a days rental fee, which is like $100 for this damn car. Once I return my car though, I’m pretty much stuck at home until I get a taxi to their airport. Maybe I’ll just do a bunch of reading, I’m quite behind.
And then I’m outta here Saturday morning. Bye bye San Francisco, Oakland, San Leandro, Burlingame, Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Santa Cruz. Goodbye Coit Tower, Pier 39, Castro, Union Square, North Beach, SoMa, Howard and Folsom, Market, Bay Bridge, cable cars, undrivable traffic. C’ya SRI, Sun, Liquid Thinking, Elaine and Rodrigo, Rob and Patti, Rama and Paul. Goodbye DalRae, Puss Puss, Tony and Sylvia, Jeff and Katie, Mitch and Julie, Sarah and Cole, Natalie and Lilian. I’ll miss you, but I’ll be back someday I’m sure. Thanks for the experiences and memories. I’m on my way to some new ones, good and bad.
And I can’t wait.
